Summary

On September 2, 2014, EPA Region 6 finalized Proposed Adminsitrative Order (PAO) under its authority pursuant to the Safe Drinking Water Act to Bruce W. Marlin, Sr., doing business as Marlin Oil and Gas (Respondent), located in Wynona, Oklahoma. The PAO was issued in response to violations of maintaining an injection well in a manner which could allow fluids to move through the well into underground sources of drinking water (USDWs). The PAO requires Respondent to complete work to prevent contaminated fluids from entering USDWs. Respondent must respond to EPA Region 6 within thirty days. A November 19, 2014, inspection indicates the well is converted to production. Therefore the requirements of the Final Administrative Order and SDWA are compliant.
