On May 23, 2014, Region 10 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order resolving violations of the Clean Water Act by Kvichak Marine Industries Inc. Respondent, which operates a boat building facility, discharged pollutants to waters of the U.S. in violation of the Washington State NPDES Industrial Stormwater General Permit, including failures to sample and failure to conduct self inspections. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $32,000.
