On February 14, 2014, EPA Region 6 ssued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to the Safe Drnking Water Act (SDWA) to Klondike Independent School District (Respondent) in Lamesa, TX. The AO was issued in response to violations of the fluoride maximum conaminant level (MCL). the AO requires Respondent to bmit to EPA: 1) a detailed plan to meet the fluoride MCL; 2) a cost analysis of the proposed plan; and 3) a construction schedule. Respondent must submit aplan to EPA Region 6 within 120 days of the issuancedate of the Order.
