On June 20, 2014, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of Section 311(j) of the Clean Water Act and accompanying Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) regulations by Connell Oil Incorporated. The violations were observed during a March 2013 inspection of the companyÂs oil storage and distribution facility in Yakima, Washington, and included failure to prepare and implement an adequate SPCC Plan for the facility. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $12,542.
