This Administrative Settlement Agreement and Order on Consent is entered into by the US EPA, the Northern States Power Company, a Wisconsin corporation, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR). This Agreement concerns: (1) the undertaking of a Wet Dredge Pilot ( Pilot Study ) to determine whether wet dredging can be used to successfully remediate the near-shore sediments at the Ashland/Northern States Power Lakefront Superfund Site located at Ashland, Wisconsin, and to optimize a full scale wet dredge remedy at the Site; and (2) the reimbursement for Pilot Study Response Costs incurred by EPA in connection with the Pilot Study.
