On July 17, 2014, Region 10 settled with Columbia Sportswear for violations of FIFRA resulting from the sale and distribution of a misbranded pesticide. Columbia submitted to EPA information revealing that it had distributed clothing treated with the registered pesticide ÂInsect Blocker without required labeling over the course of 28 months from 2010-2013. Region 10 issued Columbia a civil penalty in 2012 for a similar violation of FIFRA. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $100,800.
