The respondent is the owner and operator of the Brenridge Subdivision Public Water System. After multiple attempts by the primary agency to obtain compliance, the primary agency referred this Public Water System to EPA Region 3 for further enforcement. A Notice of Violation and Request for Information were issued on August 20, 2013. After the thirty (30) day Notice of Violation and Request for Information response period elapsed with no response, EPA issued an Administrative Order on September 24, 2013. The Administrative Order ordered the Respondent to return to compliance all violations listed in the Administrative Order. Due to the Respondent failing to respond and comply with the AO, EPA is issuing the Complaint with a proposes a penalty of $19,500.
