EPA Issues CAFO to Sensient Flavors LLC, Harbor Beach, Michigan: EPA will be issuing a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) commencing and concluding an action against Sensient Flavors LLC (Sensient) for alleged violations of the Clean Air Act. The CAFO alleges that Sensient failed to operate its air pollution control equipment as required by their operating permit, and failed to abide by its Malfunction Abatement Plan (MAP). The CAFO requires Sensient to pay a penalty of $32,555 and complete three energy efficiency SEPs at the Harbor Beach facility at a cost of $245,000.
