On February 13, 2017, Region 5 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) with Apiscent Labs, LLC, St. Francis, Wisconsin (Apiscent Labs). The CAFO commences and concludes an administrative action by EPA alleging that Apiscent Labs stored hazardous waste beyond the 90-day limit for large quantity generators, failed to properly label containers of hazardous waste, failed to comply with other requirements of Wisconsin's hazardous waste program and federal regulations, and violated Section 3005 of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, 42 U.S.C. � 6925. Apiscent Labs is located in St. Francis, Wisconsin and specializes in the production of raw materials for the food and pharmaceutical industries. Apiscent Labs has approximately 35 employees and reported $7 million in sales in 2015. Under the terms of the CAFO, Apiscent Labs will pay a civil penalty of $25,000.
