Butkin Oil Company, LLC was inspected by EPA on April 12, 2017, discharged brine and produced wastewater to waters of the U.S. without obtaining permit coverage. The inspector determined that the water located at the discharge point of entry into the tributary of Pine Creek was contaminated from brine discharges and measured 29,677 ppm Total Dissolved Solids (TDS).
