EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 1414(g) of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) to Sonia Petroleum d/b/a Westlake Discount Tobacco Water System located in Lake Charles, LA. The AO was issued in response to violations of 40 C.F.R. 141.853?141.860. The AO requires Sonia Petroleum to address violations of the Revised Total Coliform Rule, including conduct a level one assessment, address sanitary deficiencies identified during a level 2 assessment, and complete the required public notice. Sonia Petroleum must respond to EPA Region 6 within thirty days of the issuance date of the Order. For more information, see documents below.
