On September 27, 2018, Region 1 filed a Complaint and Notice of Opportunity for Hearing to Premier Flipping LLC pursuant to TSCA Section 16(a) for an alleged violation of the Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule. The complaint alleges that Premier Flipping LLC is not a RRP certified firm and was performing exterior siding and trim installation at a pre-1978 duplex building in East Hartford, Connecticut which disturbed painted siding and trim. The complaint seeks a penalty of $4,667. The state of Connecticut is not authorized to implement the RRP Rule and is supportive of this federal action. This action will help to protect children from the harmful effects of lead-based paint.
