Venezias Finishing Touch agreed to a penalty to resolve several allegations of noncompliance with the Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule. Specifically, the settlement alleges the firm performed exterior paint scraping on a pre-1978 home without obtaining EPA lead-safe firm certification, assigning a certified renovator, posting warning signs, or laying down plastic to contain debris. The firm has since obtained EPA lead-safe firm certification.
