US EPA and the United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service (Respondent) for the Pacific Southwest Region voluntarily enter into this Administrative Order on Consent (AOC). Respondent owns and operates at least 62 large capacity cesspools (LCCs) located in California. The federal Safe Drinking Water Act Underground Injection Control (UIC) regulations required closure of all LCCs by 2005. Respondent agreed to close and document closure of the subject LCCs to EPA, by December 31, 2020.
