On May 26, 2020, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Compliance Order on Consent (AOC) under its authority pursuant to the authority of Section 113(a)(1)(A) of the Clean Air Act, 42 U.S.C. ? 7413(a)(1)(A) to Westlake Vinyls Company, LP - Geismar Facility (Westlake Vinyls) located in Geismar, LA. The AOC was issued in response to violation of LAC 33:III.919.B.1 of the Louisiana SIP by failing to report actual emissions in the annual emissions inventories for VOCs for reporting year 2017 as to Cooling Tower and VCM Plant - Sumps(Emission Sources) at the Facility. The AOC requires Westlake Vinyls to report actual emissions in their annual emissions inventory for 2017.
