On July 21, 2020, Region 1 filed an expedited settlement agreement under TSCA's Lead-Based Paint Expedited Settlement Agreement Policy resolving violations of the Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule alleged against Hale Resources, LLC. of Bennington, Vermont. An EPA review of the company's records revealed that the facility was not in compliance with the RRP Rule. The company has paid a penalty of $2,000 and has come into compliance with the RRP Rule. Vermont has not taken delegation of the RRP Rule and is aware of this action.
