On October 28, 2021, EPA Region 6 issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) under its authority pursuant to the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) to Tribute Energy Inc. located in Houston, TX. The CAFO was issued in response to alleged violations of Section 15(3)(B) of TSCA for failure to report the chemical 1,2-Benzenedicarboxylic acid, 1,2-bis(2-ethylhexyl) ester for both the 2016 and 2020 Chemical Data Reporting periods.
The CAFO requires Tribute Energy to pay a civil penalty of $46,910.00 within 30 days of the date of issue. The violations have been corrected.
