During the week of April 18, 2022, a Proposed Administrative Compliance Order (Proposed AO) will be issued to Conklin Oil Company, LLC (Respondent). The Proposed AO alleges Respondent violated regulations set forth at 40 C.F.R. ?? 147.2903(b), 147.2920(b) and Part I.B. of the permit by maintaining an injection well in a manner that could allow the movement of fluid that contains contaminants into an Underground Source of Drinking Water (USDW) and by failing to successfully demonstrate mechanical integrity. This Proposed AO requires Respondent to successfully demonstrate mechanical integrity, plug the injection well or convert it to production use. Comments will be solicited for 30 days from the date of this notice.
