On June 23, 2022, EPA Region 1 entered into an Expedited Settlement Agreement (ESA) with AT Wall Company of Warwick, Rhode Island, resolving violations of the Clean Air Act's risk management planning (RMP) regulations, promulgated pursuant to Section 112(r) of the Clean Air Act. The company produces fabricated metal products for the electronics, telecommunications, aerospace, and chemical industries, using anhydrous ammonia in an annealing process. The ESA requires compliance and payment of a $10,160 penalty. Rhode Island is not delegated to implement this program. The facility is not in an environmental justice area of concern.
