On 1/19/23, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 6, issued a Formal Notice of Warning under its authority pursuant to the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) to Arklatex Chemical Specialties LLC of Springdale, AR, for its Chemstation of East Texas facility in Longview, TX. The EPA alleges that Arklatex violated Section 12(a)(2)(L) of FIFRA, 7 U.S.C. Section 136j(a)(2)(L), by failing to submit a pesticide production report for the 2021 calendar year by the due date of 3/1/22. Repeat violations could subject Arklatex to a civil administrative penalty, or other actions.
