On October 10, 2024, Region 10 filed an expedited settlement agreement resolving CWA violations of the City of Lynnwood's wastewater permit at its wastewater treatment plant in Edmonds, Washington. Alleged violations included late permit report submittals and effluent limit exceedances for total suspended solids. This enforcement action stands to prevent an annual discharge of 10,504 pounds of total suspended solids into Browns Bay and Puget Sound. The Respondent agreed to pay a penalty of $4,350 and has returned to compliance.
