On April 30, 2025, Region 10 executed an Administrative Order on Consent with Metlakatla Indian Community for violations of the SDWA at the Metlakatla Community Water System owned and operated by the Metlakatla Indian Community. The water system serves approximately 1575 residents The Order establishes a schedule to correct violations of the SDWA for failure to correct significant deficiencies pursuant to 40 C.F.R. 141.723(c). The unresolved significant deficiencies included establishing a cross-connection control program, eliminate existing cross-connections, and obtaining a certified drinking water operator.
