On January 26, 2026, Region 3 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order, simultaneously commencing and concluding an administrative enforcement action, against Om Sai Enterprises, Inc. located at 2650 West Patapsco Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21230 (the Facility ) for alleged violations of RCRA Subtitle I and the authorized Maryland Underground Storage Tank Regulations. The alleged violations include: (1) failure to perform annual testing of the operation of the line leak detectors and (2) failure to perform piping release detection. Such violations frustrate the implementation of regulatory programs designed to prevent releases of hazardous waste and substances, a goal of RCRA, and this enforcement action is in furtherance of Administrator Zeldin's Pillar 1: Clean Air, Land, and Water for Every American. The EPA notified Maryland in advance of this action, and Maryland had no objections. Per the terms of the Consent Agreement, Om Sai Enterprises, Inc. will pay a $1,000 civil penalty, which was based on an analysis of its ability to pay.
