USEPA Region 5 Settles Hazardous Waste Export Violations by EQ Detroit, Inc. in Wayne, Michigan
On August 22, 2006, Region 5 filed a complaint, consent agreement and final order to settle violations of Section 3002 of RCRA, 42 U.S.C. 6922. EQ Detroit, Inc. failed to submit an accurate annual report pursuant to 40 C.F.R. Section 262.54(a)(4) because it failed to report the correct amount of hazardous waste shipped to one consignee and failed to report any amount of hazardous waste shipped to another consignee. The order assessed a civil penalty of $10,400.
