On July 20, 2006, Veckridge Chemical Company Inc. disclosed to EPA within 21 days of discovering that it had failed to submit Toxic Chemical Release Inventory Reporting Form R reports for n-butyl alcohol, nitric acid, ammonia, formic acid, methanol for reporting year 2000 to 2004. The failures to submit in a timely manner complete and correct Form R or A reports for the listed toxic chemical, constitute failures to comply with Section 313 of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), 42 U.S.C. § 11023, and with 40 C.F.R. § 372.30. The July 20, 2006 disclosure requested relief under the ÂSmall Business Compliance Policy [FRL-6576-4]. The company stated that it employs fewer than 100 employees. The above mentioned violations were discovered during a voluntary review of the facility operation and materials usage prompted by a letter from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection that encouraged consideration of EPAÂs Audit and Small Business Compliance Policies.
