Violation: Respondent's oil field tank battery facility was a point source discharge of pollutants to waters of the US . The pollutant discharged was oil field brine and the impacted water body is a tributary of Wildhorse Creek. The violation was documented during an EPA inspection conducted on April 26, 2007 at the facility located in Wichita Co., TX.
Relief: A Cease and Desist Administrative Order (AO) is being issued to the Respondent. The AO is requiring the Respondent to perform the following actions: (1) immediately cease all discharges of pollutants from the facility; (2) remove the brine from the creek; (3) remove or neutralize all the brine impacted soils in the drainage between the facility and the creek; and (4) submit written certification that these aforementioned tasks have been completed.
