On February 24, 2005 , U.S. EPA issued a Notice of Violation (NOV) to Flavorchem Corporation for violation the Illinois State Implementation Plan, and Title V permitting requirements of the Clean Air Act, by allegedly failing to obtain construction and operating permits, submit a timely application for a Title V permit, and operating without a Title V operating permit. Per the CAFO, Flavorchem Corporation will pay a penalty of $75,025.
