On July 26, 2007, An Administrative Order was issued to Mr. Alan Ritchey, Owner of Ritchey Dairy for violating Section 301 of the Clean Water Act. The violation was identified based on an EPA inspection conducted on
June 5, 2007. The violation found consisted of an unauthorized discharge of a pollutant, specifically overflow silage liquor, from the storm water storage ponds to waters of the
United States. The Order requires Ritchey Dairy to immediately cease and desist all discharges of pollutants into Brown Creek, and come into compliance with all other provisions of the AO.
