The company was cited for violating the federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act requirements for managing hazardous waste. Specifically, EPA cited SABCO on nine counts including failing to obtain a storage permit and maintain unobstructed aisle space. The company also allegedly failed to determine if a waste was hazardous, fully comply with all contingency plan requirements, train personnel, keep records and notify state and local emergency response departments.
