This site, located in central Utah, includes hundreds of lead-contaminated residential properties as well as numerous mine waste piles. EPA conducted a time-critical removal action in 2001 and 2002 to address immediate risks posed by the site. Under this removal action, EPA cleaned up 71 residential properties. EPA spent an estimated $4.9 million in conducting this Removal Action. EPA's total response costs as of 9/30/2002 total $10,300,248. North Lily Mining Company filed a Chapter 11 bankruptcy on 9/6/2001. EPA requests DOJ file a proof of claim in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado.
