The FHFA House Price Index is a repeat-sales index measuring average price changes for the same properties over time. Index value 100 = the series base period; a value of 250 means prices have risen 150% since the base. "Purchase-only" uses sale prices only; "all-transactions" adds refinance appraisals; "expanded-data" blends in additional sources.
