## Narrative

TWO MECHANICS HAD CUT OFF THE PINS ON ONE SIDE OF A TAILPIECE WHICH WAS ANCHORED TO THE FLOOR. WHEN THEY MOVED TO THE OTHER SIDE, THEY REPORTED AN ""EVENT"" AS THE TORCH WAS PLACED AGAINST THE FIRST BOLT ON THIS SIDE, AFTER BLOWING OFF THE DUST. MSHA WAS NOTIFIED OF A POSSIBLE IGNITION. AFTER INTERVIEWING WITNESSES & THE PHYSICAL EVIDENCE WE DON'T BELIEVE AN ACTUAL IGNITION OCCURRED
