## Narrative

The hoist was in operation bringing dumpsters to the surface from the mining level. The hoist operator stopped the cage at the mining level to change dumpsters and the hoist tripped out, saying ""communication failure"". After failing to restart the hoist the electricians were notified. The hoist was down for longer than 30 minutes so MSHA was notified. Minimal damage and impact.
