Abstract
The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (``FCIC'') hereby adds a new part 402 to chapter IV of title 7 of the Code of Federal Regulations (``CFR''). The intended effect of this interim rule is to provide a catastrophic risk protection plan of insurance, the lowest level of coverage required to be purchased by a producer to be eligible for certain other agricultural farm program benefits, to comply with statutory mandates of the Federal Crop Insurance Act as amended by the Federal Crop Insurance Reform Act of 1994.
