My intention was to proceed forward briefly, then shift into reverse to continue my planned route. Upon releasing my foot from the accelerator pedal in preparation for this maneuver, the vehicle unexpectedly and rapidly accelerated without any input from me. The rate and intensity of acceleration was unprecedented in my experience operating motor vehicles. I immediately applied pressure to the brake pedal in an attempt to stop the vehicle; however, the braking system was unresponsive and failed to slow or halt the vehicle's forward motion. As a result of this uncontrolled acceleration, the vehicle collided with the front porch of my residence. Upon impact, all airbags deployed.
