## Narrative
The contact rented a 2026 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving and merging onto traffic on a highway, the brake pedal was slightly depressed and the vehicle overcorrected the brake, and abruptly stopped, causing the vehicle to be rear ended. There were no injuries sustained. A Police report was filed. The vehicle was driven away from the scene and was returned to the rental agency immediately. The contact was then advised that the vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V316000 (Forward Collision Avoidance). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
