The contact stated that the accelerator pedal was depressed, however the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The vehicle's speed independently accelerated. The contact sustained pain in the right knee, no medical treatment was provided. The passenger, who was seated in the rear seat, sustained neck and upper back injuries.
