Narrative

1. On XXX (clear ), while parking a Hertz rental Nissan Rogue at a hotel parking lot in [XXX], the vehicle suddenly and violently accelerated forward without warning. Brake pedal application was ineffective. The vehicle jumped a stone barrier and sustained damage. I was terrified and sustained minor injuries. 2. This vehicle is equipped with the KR15DDT engine, which is the subject of NHTSA recall 26V081/26V080 for electronic throttle body gear fracture. The reported failure mode—low‑speed unintended acceleration and loss of braking—matches my experience exactly. They also never informed us of any potential risks associated with this engine. I have repeatedly requested damage reports and itemized repair bills from Hertz, but they have consistently refused to provide any such documentation. Requests : 1. Include this vehicle in the ongoing defect investigation of KR15DDT engines to prevent further safety risks to drivers and
