Catastrophic spindle weld failure on custom trailer axle Invoice D12802 manufactured by Pacific Trailers. On June 23 2026 while traveling on US Highway 2 the spindle weld sheared off completely at the axle tube joint. Secondary damage occurred to the tire fender and brake assembly. Physical inspection shows lack of weld penetration and fusion. Manufacturer ignored formal notices.
