## Narrative
I picked up my adult daughter from the LAX on August 5th at 9:00am. I was in the driver’s seat and pushed the button to open the liftgate, so she could load her luggage. As she was loading her luggage, the power liftgate closed on her - unprompted. It hit her in the back of the head. (across the back, near the base of her skull) She yelled at me for "closing the trunk on her head" but I did not hit any button. She had a really bad headache for an hour or so, but later that evening and the next day, she developed severe back of the head and neck pain. We took her to a emergency clinic the next morning on 8/6/26 and the physician gave her medicine (injection and prescription) for severe acute headache and cervical paraspinal muscle spasm. He told her to follow up with neurology bc she may have trigemenal neuralgia. We did not put the pieces together (that the liftgate was the source of her pain) until later... after the liftgate knocked me unconscious on 9/1 and I now have a traumatic brain injury and neck injury.
