I am a nurse with Oakland County Michigan and I do all the infant mortality reviews. I normally report equipment to the CPSC, but they informed me that a seat in a vehicle is to be reported to the NTHSA. I am not sure if the car seat had anything to do with the baby's death. The autopsy was inconclusive. He was sitting in the seat and when the mother got out of the car to get him out, he was unresponsive and he died from the incident/event.
