2020 PORSCHE TAYCAN — SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC; AUTOHOLD BRAKE SYSTEM/BRAKE HOLD:SOFTWARE

The contact owned a 2020 Porsche Taycan. The contact stated that while the vehicle was stopped with the engine running, the contact exited a parking garage ticket booth and the vehicle independently accelerated. The vehicle crashed through the ticket booth gate and into a wall before coming to a stop. The contact inspected the vehicle and confirmed that the BRAKE HOLD assist was enabled. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard. The vehicle was deemed a total loss by the insurance company. The contact was transported to the local medical center for treatment.
