## Narrative
Failed Component: Service Brakes, Hydraulic / Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) / Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) Description of Incident & Safety Defect: On June 11, 2026, while operating the vehicle, the primary braking system suffered a complete failure of electro-hydraulic power assist. When attempting to slow down, the electronic brake system failed to engage or command hydraulic assist. The brake pedal became extremely hard and stiff to press, rendering the hydraulic braking system completely ineffective. Simultaneously, the vehicle’s integrated Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system failed to activate or provide secondary collision mitigation, resulting in a crash with the vehicle ahead. Technical & Telemetry Evidence: An official Bosch Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) report (dated July 29, 2026) confirmed that during the incident, the brake pedal was physically depressed to 16% pedal travel/movement, yet the hydraulic line pressure registered at 0 kPa. This electronic telemetry proves that despite driver pedal application, the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) never engaged hydraulic pressure or commanded stopping authority. Post-Incident & Out-of-Service Timeline: The vehicle was surrendered to an authorized dealership (Classic Chevrolet, Grapevine, TX) following the crash and has remained continuously out of service in dealer custody since June 14, 2026. General Motors Product Assistance Claims (PAC Case #102143673) closed their investigation on Septembe
