## Narrative
The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while accelerating forward and making a left turn, a second vehicle struck the front driver's side of the vehicle. The contact stated that the forward collision avoidance system failed to engage to prevent the collision. The contact sustained a left ankle fracture from the deployment of the front dashboard air bag and was transported to a local hospital. A police report was filed at the scene. The vehicle was towed to a storage facility and later deemed a total loss by the insurance company. Both the manufacturer and a local dealer were notified of the failure.
