While the vehicle was stationary, the driver pressed a saved profile button on the Integrated Memory System (IMS) on the door panel to adjust the driver's seat. A passenger was seated directly behind the driver in the second row. Upon pressing the memory button, the motorized driver's seat began moving backward toward the saved position. Whether due to a system malfunction or a lack of built-in detection features, the vehicle did not interrupt the motorized movement upon encountering an obstruction. The seat forcefully and continuously compressed backward, squeezing and trapping the second-row passenger's legs. The seat did not stop on its own and only ceased moving when it completely jammed against the passenger, causing minor physical injury to their legs. This constitutes a severe mechanical/software defect and a critical occupant crush hazard.
