## Narrative

While repairing an elevator's counterweight, the mechanic isolated the counterweight by wedging a tool under it. The wedging tool dislodged, the counterweight moved, and the mechanic got his hand caught by the moving cable into the guard of the sheave. The incident de-gloved his hand and caused the skin to be ripped from the bone.
