## Narrative

An employee was rolling a piece of metal that got crooked going into the roll machine. The employee attempted to straighten the piece when the roller caught the employee's glove. The roller has an "E" stop and an emergency cable. The employee hit the cable and the rollers stopped. A coworker hit reverse, and the employee's hand was freed from the machine. The left index finger was crushed, requiring hospitalization; the finger did not break and there were no permanent injuries.
