## Narrative

An employee was helping a coworker demolish a fin fan part that was recently replaced on a cooling unit at the chemical plant. The employee's coworker was tasked with torch cutting a 15 feet x 25 feet, 3/16-inch steel fin fan part into smaller pieces for demolition and removal from the site. The employee was standing 6 to 8 feet away from the torch cutting operation. While the coworker was torch cutting the tail-end area on the fin fan, a side panel that measured 19 feet x 4.5 feet and weighed approximately 650 lbs. came off and fell, striking the employee in the right leg. The employee's right tibia and fibula were fractured.
