## Narrative

An employee had just completed ripping a piece of wood stock when he changed the process and began to shave it.  While in the process of shaving the wood block it kicked forward causing the employee's hand to move forward into the rotating blade. The employee sustained an amputation injury to the tip of his right thumb.
