## Narrative

A two-man crew was retrieving trash/debris from a dumpster in the alley behind a bakery. The process involves a truck, which is specially outfitted with a hoisting mechanism and an automatic tipping device. The device lifts the dumpster off the ground and dumps the debris into a hopper attached to the rear of the truck. While the device was lifting the dumpster, the injured employee's left-hand fingers were caught between the lifting mechanism and the trunnion bar. His middle fingertip was amputated.
